The podcast player has 2 serious flaws. 1, it is VERY slow to switch between screens: it can time out waiting (I get a Reload message): 2, the purpose of downloading podcasts is so that ypu can hear them anytime, even if you are not connected to data. Not with this app! You have to be connected, it seems, to verify your app, veven if you have just listened to one podcast. So if you are not connected (remote, in a subway), you can not access the podcasts already downloaded into your phone.

Used to be a regular user of TuneIn Radio Pro, but once they got too big and canned the recording feature, things went downhill. The only thing they have that beats Audials Play is that when you're listening to a station, you can pause and rewind what you are listening to (*up* to 30 minutes; it automatically records what station you're on). That's my only gripe. Otherwise, Audials Play is vastly superior in every sense. I use this app almost every day.

Has ads really often and likes to run itself in the background even after being closed out. EDIT: The dev responded and informed me that you can show which stations have ads so you can avoid those, and how to turn that on in the settings, which also has a setting to disable background usage so I'll update to 4/5 as those options are hidden in the settings and should maybe be enabled by default. Edited

Hello Thomas, thanks for your review. We would like to investigate! Please get in touch in the app settings:"Help & About > Contact". The advertisements are played by the stations/ ads services commissioned by them. The "Ads" marker will help you avoid such stations: https://support.audials.com/hc/articles/115005826589

When I turn screen off , the list of stations starts over from beginning ?? Why , In the list of radio must I select more 2 times and begin searching all over again ??? You absolutely have no good answer that will satisfy me other than you purposely are making it repetitive and annoying so we spend more time on app . I am a techie . You can't fool me . So far this app seems pretty good. The interface isn't cluttered like other radio apps. I'd just like to see themed app icon support for the latest versions of Android that support adaptive theming, and better naming of all stations (some seem to be just the stream names; perhaps it could be possible to allow users to submit edit suggestions). Otherwise, a great job! Edited
