Developers could listen more to the feedback of long-term players. There are small changes that would be so helpful, like the 100 character text limit with no character count. And bigger issues with dying servers and not being able to migrate your entire account to a different server. And of course it's pay-to-play, I don't understand why people still complain about that. Now there are ridiculously overpriced items like outfits and frames, but otherwise, expect to buy packs to really grow.

The graphics are nice and voice actors are great, however the storyline is very short an doesnt give you enough time to get involved into the story to make you feel like you have a purpose or pumped up to play the game. A few times it feel like they throw a lot at you in tutorial and not enough is explained. The rest is self taught, I think they could do more for the game and make it into something exciting! But in all it's a 3 out of 5 stars for me. Sorry app creators. :( Edited

Got this app because someone said it's fun to ah without paying... they lied. Game is fun for a week or two while they let you build up your characters, make alliances and enemies, then they heavily throttle everything that you need to advance further. The only way forward at that point is to pay. A great example of this in action is dealing with state affairs where you can gain experience, grain, gold, or troops. In the beginning they all show up pretty evenly, now that I'm at a point where I need a steady flow of troops I get nothing but grain and gold options. You might say it's just bad luck but they tip their hat with arena battles where after so many wins you get to pick from one of 6 chests in a lottery. You should have a 1 in 6 chance for all items there but you only ever get the same reward, no matter what chest you choose, even if it's the same one over and over. It defies the laws of probability and proves that this game is designed to force you to pay to win. Edited

the ads make it seem more story driven but it's not. while theres a lot to do, its all very repetitive. it's another game with the 'VIP' feature and a lot of the items are for sale. in order to get anywhere, you either need to spend money or grind. the community isn't toxic per se, but there are a lot of young users. there are also a ton of bots. overall, the experience is what you make of it. its addictive if you're competitive or a completionist, otherwise its very tedious and boring.

GoS is an empire power building game. But due to recent changes, and an ever increasing pay wall, I lowered my rating. In the 6 months I have played, the purchase rewards have become minimalistic and lackluster as of late. The changes to in game events has left me wanting a better experience as well. Overall, still enjoy playing for the social aspect, but paying for minimalistic rewards isn't rewarding at all and will push way players. Edited
