Why can't i see the online status of my contacts in the contacts list? My chat clients have had this feature since ever, but this one requires me to go into a single contacts details, and then the status if only shown if the dynamic tags are activated.

Happy to see this pillar of a cozy tech from the days of old still alive and kicking. The long awaited redesign is absolutely delicious, same as the user experience overall. Highly recommend this app to anyone who's just started their XMPP journey. Edited

I understand that you are frustrated about Google not allowing certain features in apps distrubuted through Google Play but negative ratings hurt the developer. Google doesn't care.
You can always visit search.jabber.network in your browser for room discovery. Or switch to the fdroid version of Conversations.

THE VERY BEST XMPP CHAT CLIENT. This app is still best of all. The old design was up until v2.14.2 so get android studio and compile it if you miss the old design! Edited

After last updates not connect to alldays accounts. Wrong password. Why? Thanks for clear Answer. i can not ask ALL my contacts migrate (all persons) to new adresses, new servers. Jabber/XMPP have other client applications (working applications). sorry, but - Good bay! Conversations is uninstaled as unusable. Thats all tale. Edited

We patched a security issue which unfortunately makes the app incompatible with old ejabberd servers. You need to update your ejabberd or apply a crude work around on the server https://codeberg.org/iNPUTmice/Conversations/issues/813

The app is great, first app that I buy ever (been using Android devices for 10 yrs.)! It does everything I need. Unfortunately, there are no notifications for messages in group chats (MUC). Normal notifications work fine. Please, fix notifications for group chats! EDIT: I have entered the group --> menu (three dots) --> Channel details --> Notify on all messages. Now it works 👍 thanks! (changed to 5 stats now 😃) Edited

Public channels only notify on mentions by default. You can change the setting on a per channel basis in the channel details (overflow menu)
