It's a great app - quick, convenient, and allows for downloading from many different sources. However, I encountered quite a serious issue - during the last few months, the entire library got randomly deleted on three different occasions.

can't use external hard drive plugged into usb c port on my phone. I have all the Zim files on my hard drive but it won't let me view the files. this hard drive I'm using I want to be able to plug it into any device and the kiwix on that device will let me view them. phones don't have enough memory to hold all that you have and I'm not ok with just having a few files.

I want to give the app 5 stars, but it is missing a wide variety of improvements...things that would make this app more usable. Let me just list them. Fyi, I'm using a Galaxy S9+ 1. Downloads won't keep downloading unless the downloads tab is open (regardless of settings) 2. Is it possible to open the app on just the main library and not the last article I opened? (personal preference) 3. Disorganized. I'm very thankful there are a ton of choices, but they all seem out of order; by category/language/size, etc. There needs to be a better way to sort through the files (both library and downloadable content tab. Also, can we get check marks to choose multiple things to download instead of repeatedly clicking back to the "online" tab? 4. There should be a way to control downloads more (sort, download settings, speed settings, etc).I want to be able to set one download at a time by default, for example. 5. Constant crashing when pausing/unpausing downloads 6. Can we get a % completed option on the downloads page? Anyway, I really do love this app, but I feel it still needs work. I'm going to continue to use it and use my workarounds. Thank you developers for the effort.

Worse and worse. I go back every couple years to see if any improvements have been made (Wikipedia AND Wiktionary searched simultaneously, for example, like IOS has done for years, etc) and am always disappointed. Version 2.2 is still much more useful to me, as it lets you adjust MANY more settings, and comes without all the useless "bells and whistles" bling taking up screen space. And good luck searching Wikisource for ANYTHING! Worse than all, 3.11 CANNOT READ ZIM FILES on my device anymore! Edited

You should be again able to open ZIM files downloaded via thir party app. Check version 3.13.0.

App pauses downloading every time it isnt the main app. There aren't app permissions carved out to download while in the background. This makes it horrible to download large files. EDIT: Re: Developer's change: I tried the download again, but it doesnt seem to have an accurate time remaining (it goes up as time goes on), the progress bar doesn't work, and I'm not getting a sense that I'm downloading anything... This should be fixed in version 3.13.0. Please give a try and let us know. Edit:as far as Google Playstore reports... you are still using old version 3.11.3. Pretty puzzling...
