Scrolls back up to the beginning of the article if you rotate your phone. Especially annoying if you watch a video clip half way into a long article. If you minimise the app it isn't shown in recent apps and again looses your place in whatever you were reading. Widget often gets stuck or fails to load, now it's been removed all together.

I wish I could rate it higher, but there's one major issue that I run into too frequently to be able to do so. The issue is that when you I am watching a video in full screen and rotate the screen (when I want to see it larger) it kicks me out of the video and makes to go back to the start of the video. So I don't only have to scroll back down the article to find the video again, but I also need to find where in the video I was when I rotated the screen! It's extremely frustrating!

I don't like the new update. I used to be able to easily access local news, now it shows me local news with bits of other news spread within. It's not as used friendly and I find myself spending more time trying to find relevant news though analysis etc than reading the news. Such a shame as it was such a trustworthy news app.

The app is average. The main issue is the lack of customisation available. I have zero interest in sport but the feed is riddled with it. The 'for you' section wastes too much space with large photo panels for every story. Too many short videos (I really don't want to watch anything) and other stuff I have no interest in like 'mood booster' all detract. EDIT: news very lacking in content. Minimal coverage of the world or even Australian content. Disappointing.

At last a dark mode, delivered thankyou. The latest UI is great, selection of topics and local news works perfectly. Thankyou for reducing those annoying digital news stories, when I see them I stop reading. -1 star. Also recently there seems to be little editorial oversight, grammatical errors, extra words, missing words, reduce the readability and hence reliability and confidence in content. This is the ABC, I expect better. - 1 star Edited
