What a refreshing app experience. No ads, no constant fighting with spammy content. Photos show up in a stream with no usernames or info, you can tag your posts and filter by relevant content tags like black and white, film, landscape, food, portrait, etc. Like and comment, explore great photos and a kind environment of creatives sharing a huge breadth of work. Works well, no bugs or issues so far in my use, and an optional subscription but free otherwise. Can't wait to see how it grows!

These folks are doing it right by getting back to basics. No annoying video shorts given algorithmic preference; no grating ads; clear and consistent rules about what's allowable to post; no competively structured focus on likes and popularity defined solely by numerics; and, above all else, a focus on ACTUAL PHOTOGRAPHY. Is it perfect? No. greater flexibility in tagging would be appreciated, and some basic tools to tweak how photos appear would be welcome additions. But this is a solid start!

Probably the cleanest and easiest to use social app focused on photography. A lot of times when platforms like this come around, they set themselves so far apart that they feel foreign and intimidating to pick up. In its current form, Foto reminds me of a proto-instagram. A bit barebones, but it's easy enough to navigate without ever feeling overwhelmed. That being said, I'm excited to see what additions come first to this platform. Keeping my fingers crossed for carousel-style posting🤞

This app has potential, but it critically needs significant work on its user experience (UX). Many aspects feel underdeveloped, making it difficult to navigate and use effectively. I hope to see substantial improvements in future updates to make it a more intuitive and enjoyable application.
