Dont get this if you hate intrusive popups, opened the app for the first time and I had a full screen ad for their pro version. Closed the ad, then another took it's place immediately. And another. And more after that. I didnt even get to the forecast before I got annoyed, in the span of maybe 45 seconds. No means no. Pretty sure most of the 5 stars are from the creator trying to get commission Edited

Probably a great app for marine stuff,but doesn't have the info I need for hiking. You can't even display the ground elevation of a spot you're forecasting. It would be nice to see forecasted highs and lows as a gradient along ground slope. (Where should I camp?) What's the snow line? Sun exposure on a slope. Moonlight illumination. Sunrise/set and moonrise/set. Smoke and haze forecast by hour. But really ground elevation is the most glaring omission and no Way to get contour lines in feet.

I had downloaded this app to replace my previous weather app, and the first time I opened Windy it nagged me nearly a dozen times to either make an account or make a pro subscription before letting me into the app, and after all of that the app is incredibly barebones. while I'm certain making an account and upgrading to Windy Pro would probably improve my experience, the fact that I'm left with very little otherwise turns me off of wanting to commit any time or money into it

I downloaded the app for paragliding but they no longer have the icon, will it be back? it is still listed in the guides but no longer on the app. I wish it was more intuitive and customizable. I can share a private spot but my friends can't save it. I also can't make it public? can we input data? wind on some sites is consistently much stronger than the app forecasts. I like the app I just wish it was more usable. no reply to email, wish we could message for help in app.

We live on an island and base all our anchor decisions on this app's info. Thank you for your consistency and accuracy. Update 03/28/2025 Recently we lost most features on our predictions. most data is blank and it is worse than the free version used to be. when I have the ability to look at different weather models for our cove, I'll change my review and rating. paid for version is just not worth having if I can not access any details on wind or wave action.
