Pretty good hack and slash platformer. Buttons are quite small, so they can be hard to press. A few glitches I have encountered are that, sometimes on level startup, the caged people will be free, and replaced by the caged people from previous levels, and on level completion, they will be recahed and the level will reset. Another glitch is that, after completing the final boss, the game froze on the "The End" screen. A sequel might be a good idea.

Finally, a mobile app that is an actual game. The controls are perfect and I love that the player can choose where they go. The gameplay was very smooth and got progressively harder at a decent rate. And even when you finish with the campaign you still have the challenges to enjoy. I would recommend this game for anyone to play.

I've gone through the first act and so far I've been enjoying the game. The controls are basic and easy to use, I saw some other reviews saying they were glitchy but I haven't had any problems. The gameplay is smooth & overall an easy game. I would like if their was checkpoints, after you die you have to start the level all over again, so with checkpoints it would make it less stressful but then again, the game is still do-able without them. This game is one that I would recommend.

Amazing game! It is truly a gem! This game's controls are fun and easy to use. I love the old pixel looking games and this really takes me back to other older games. I beat the game and I wish they made more levels and bosses. It was so much fun to play and there was never a level where I thought I couldn't beat it. While it was difficult at times it was never impossible. The cards upgrade cards are a good touch. Please make a sequel, Sword of Xolan 2! With more magic and skills! Equipment too!

This was great! I think this may be the first time I've left a review on anything. Simple little 2D platformer that runs smoothly. Pixel art looks great, love the mobs. Ads were short and non-ivasive and I never felt pressured to buy the ad free version. I would probably be willing to do so if there was more content but short and sweet it is. Got a kick out of the story and voice acting, made me chuckle. Altogether, exactly what I'm looking for in a phone game. Looking forward to another one. Edited
