same thing .. used to work great. have not used in awhile. now says put in vr headset to focus and screen goes black was not cheap and they have greatly disappointed a 7 yr old dinosaur lover. :(

A lot of the reviews here are from people that are blindly downloading this app expecting it to do something. This app requires a book named "Virtual Reality Dinosaurs" from a company called "abacus brands". You use this app while looking at the book which is why it splits your screen into two and you can see your camera feed. It goes through many educational videos about different time periods and various dinosaurs. It's not bad at all. Don't listen to these reviews with 1/2 stars.

When we first got the book this was really cool. You do scan the book pages where it tells you and it starts a video or educational info. In one you are chased by T-rex. However, it no longer works. The screen just remains black after the screen that asks you to put your phone in and adjust. Looks like that last update ruined it.

After reading these reviews, I thought it was a dissapointment. BUT what you need to do is this: Install the phone app, then just skip through te parental control stuff. Run the app and put your phone in it. ( I use the VR mode(?). Put the goggles on and look at the vr dinosaurs book. VOILA!

it works for the first time but after that it is a black screen and when you finally get to the camera part to do the book it won't work Edited
