author claims on reddit he invented the encryption algorithm. Number 1 rule in crypto is to never invent your own crypto. Also not open source, no one can verify if he is doing the crypto correctly or if there are any back doors. I suggest everyone stay away from this app and stick to Signal.

iEncrypto includes 3 high security standard algorithms, such as AES-CBC, Fernet and Salsa20 (up to 256 bit key length) which can be selected in the settings section. AES is used by the U.S government and Salsa20 has no published attacks. For experts: the initialization vector is handled correctly producing different output even for the same input.
