Better than Canada's broken system. I disabled the alert system on my phone and downloaded this. Now I can get the alerts I need, and filter out the ones that don't affect me. I can decide which alerts bypass DND, and what each type of alert sounds like. if you're an American, you probably don't need this...but this is an essential app for any Canadian who's fed up with the broken system.

On July 1, 2025 in Wainwright Ab, we got hit travelling by a massive hail storm. 2 of my vehicles are badly damaged. The Ford dealership and every one there got hit bad. not a peep on this app at all. Had I been aware of the impending storm I may have altered my route. A total failure on behalf of this app. If I have to look out the window to assess the weather then stop sending out expired information. Total Fail

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry you did not receive an alert you were expecting. Severe weather alerts are issued by Environment Canada and must meet their criteria to issue an alert.

can't change notification sounds and the default alarm is very startling. I would not want it to go off when I'm driving. I'm sure people have accidents because of the type of alarm used. This app must change the ability to put your own notifications on.

Thank you for your review. While you can't change the attention tone that plays with a critical alert, you can choose if advisory or information alerts are played with a sound or not in the settings of the app.

this app keeps me faster & better informed than the news (and other regular internet sources), with no work on my part after the initial notification setup. It provides the right amount of incident detail, and its content is accurate.

I really like this app when it works. We're finally getting weather alerts, but choosing areas for accident alerts seldom works. At one time, it was perfect; if that was the case now, my rating would be a 5-star.
