I've found this app to be an excellent way to learn not only the prefectures, but also their locations, shape, capitals, and flags. Only thing missing is that it doesn't cover regions, but since there are only seven, those are easy enough to learn from Wikipedia and aren't a big deal.

Most people use social media apps when biding their time; I prefer little quizzes like this. Perfect if you love Japan, geography, or just learning about our vast human culture.

I like the concept, but it would be better (in my opinion) if it taught you first, then quizzed you. As someone who doesn't know these areas at all, but wants to learn, I couldn't do much of anything with this app.
