Recommended, with some caveats: + Effectively channels old-school LucasArts adventure games. + Well-designed interface with quality-of-life features (hotspot indicators, intuitive inventory). + Impressive presentation: character art, background art, and music are all very well done. +/- English is not the developer's primary language, and while most of the dialogue is decent enough, there are occasional instances where it falls flat or is a bit unintelligible. - The hint system is locked to "casual" mode. - Potentially objectionable character portrayals and events. The main female character is animated in a way that feels sexually objectifying, and the portrayal of a black character veers into stereotype repeatedly. The game ends with a "joke" event that comes across as backwards and inappropriate. - Puzzle design can be inconsistent. There are several times when you can switch between more than one character, sometimes the characters share an inventory, sometimes they don't. On more than one occasion, I was trying to do something, but the game required me to get the hint from somewhere to do exactly the thing that I was trying to do before the game would allow me to do it. Sometimes characters would have new things to say which advanced the story, with no indication that anything had changed. Most of these problems felt like they could have been avoided with more thoughtful design and some playtesting. Overall, I enjoyed playing through Kaptain Brawe, but an otherwise excellent classic adventure game was marred somewhat by some half-baked puzzle design, and a few nose-wrinkling social anachronisms. It needs to be front and centre that this is a paid for game - on the store page and when you open the game. Hiding it at the bottom of the game description has cost you two stars. The game seems good from the little I played before being surprised by a paywall -looks good, is intuitive, has personality; the app has no dubious permissions. I'd gladly pay for this, if it was clear that paying will be necessary. I shall not pay due to underhanded tactics. Edit: I did - it's the 1st thing I wrote?? Edited

We don't hide it, it's google play's new page redesign that pushed that info in a less accessible space. We've been selling all our games on mobile in this exact way for the past 15 years. Plus there's a big "unlock now" button on the main menu in the game? If you can give us suggestion how to make it more obvious we'd gladly oblige...

Good game if you like point and click adventure. Some things need to be done in a specific order or with things that are the same. Like you have water need water, but it wants you to use a different water source without explaining. Most puzzles are pretty logical.

Fantastic game. Humorous, engaging and sensible point-click puzzles, nice graphics, all of that. Wish it was cheaper though, no way am I paying $9 for the full game ☹️. Great work though. I've enjoyed your other point-and-click games as well. Edited

Thanks for your kind words :)
Our prices are what they are given the cost of making games in 2024 economy... I'd personally love to give our games away for free but the world doesn't work this way unfortunately... We do run sales here and there so keep an eye out :) It's one of the games we're most proud of :)
