really enjoy this app. it's helped me make sure I'm not so stuck in a singular news bubble like can happen with Social media algorithms and the like. It has been awesome and helpful. Hoping to see many more local news channels. Also needs more notification controls such as selecting only certain publications and further narrowing the types of notifications. ontop of making it only notify local stories and other options.

Overall a really great idea and execution. Unfortunately it has started to give me more and more sensationalist notifications (like the type of sandwich some politician ate for some reason?). It also puts things in Blindspot (which is for left/right reporting) that broke like an hour ago. That urgency is not helpful, and oftentimes we don't even have the facts on important events that quickly anyway. I'd love to see more of an effort to filter out the garbage instead of just aggregating it.

Overall it's a good app. I really like the summaries and bias comparison. However, the app has several flaws. 1) the bias comparison frequently gets the left and right mixed up. 2) it's hard to share links to original news sources. The option to share links generates ground.news links with unwanted utm parameters. 3) it's hard to follow a developing news story. I wish related stories were grouped so I could follow for updates. 4) the helpful info tooltips can remain open after being closed.

A few YouTubers I trust for news coverage highly recommended the app, so I got the Vantage membership. Totally worth it! fascinating to see what the left and right cover/don't cover and seeing the sometimes dramatic difference in narrative is incredible. The blind spot feature and AI summary makes learning what's going on in the world so much more convenient.

it's okay... I don't really get the hype. Interface is clunky. Articles are often obnoxiously short and riddled with ads, popups and links, everything but substance. The bias trackers and other "features" are mostly useless, and probably biased themselves. I got the pro plan it's cheap and still doesn't feel worth it. I thought I would use it all the time. I consume news, politics and economics probably more than I should. Maybe my expectations were off, I'll update if my experience improves.
