It's well written, oodles of world building, with a tight knit cast of characters. There are also consequences for your actions ranging from flavour text, character deaths, and new items. The plot is also intriguing and had me trying to wrap my head around it at various points of my reading. (It appears the game restarting out of nowhere has been fixed) Edited

Every time the app updates, it almost completely resets your progress. The first time it happened I only went back to the beginning of the chapter, but this last time I went back at least 2. Several hours worth of progress and choices completely wiped out in seconds is incredibly frustrating, but it happening multiple times is completely unacceptable. Edited

Would be 5 stars but the game resets almost back to the beginning whenever I try to play... UPDATE: The restart glitch is fixed and I was able to play the entire book. That was amazing! The story was personalized to your decisions and there were a lot of different paths to choose from. One of the best interactive stories I have ever played. The authors went into a lot of depth to make it come alive. Hoping for a part 2 down the road!! Edited

The most recent update took away my access to Wardens and Furies and tapping "restore purchase" is a dead link that doesn't even attempt anything. Update: This issue still stands. I'm updating the review so it shows for the latest version. 2nd Update: 13 patches in and this issue persists. I paid to resolve it myself because a wish to play oughtweighed principle, but I'm not happy about it. With this many patches, it has become apparent that this title was released incomplete. Unacceptable. Edited

This one really brought me back to my old world of darkness table top days. Of all the choice of games I have played this has been, by far, my favorite. The author clearly knows and understands the source material. The negative ratings here seem to be almost exclusively based on programming errors that appear to have been fixed. I would love to see a part 2 but after this I can't help but hope the author does mage the ascension next!
