A decent bird guide for NZ but expensive and full of bugs (the bird calls very often stop playing for no reason for instance). Also doesn't seem to have been updated in several years (to illustrate the pictures of the goldfinch are actually greenfinch and vice versa and this obvious mistake has not been corrected since I downloaded it several years ago). If you have reception the nzbirds website is a much better resource.

Useable, with most of the common songs and calls. Missing many, though, and many others of poor quality. Photos are serviceable but not great. Quite a far cry from the Morcombe app for Australia or the Sibley app for North America. Probably wise to use in conjunction with a physical field guide.

This is a useless app. Chaffinches are incorrectly identified. Cannot log sitings and cannot contact the developers

Good to have Māori names so I can practice them! Great upgrade, no more audio bugs!

Great content, however some incorrect eg. White Capped Albatross' conservation status. Some sounds are noisy and contaminated with other birds, humans, or streams etc. Sounds often won't play. Interface could use some polish. Doesn't display well on small screens like an Xperia Acro S.
