The new half screen popup adds are a bit buggy, and there are a few other rough spots but overall it's a good game. Doesnt work super well as an activity tracker though, at least not on my phone. It only picks up every 3rd or 4rth step, and drains the battery terribly if you actually leave it running in the background all the time to track steps. It is fun to play though 🤷♀️

This game has gotten me (and my fiance) to both walk more. Its simplistic at first, but as you poke around and learn the game you discover its actually rather complex, and makes you want to walk more just to be able to finish things quicker. the graphics are cute amd charming, the concepts are well executed, and the mechanics are simple to learn. My only issue is swiping from planet to planet is awkwardly responsive. sometimes it doesn't swipe, other times it skips 2-3 planets at once.

I really liked the idea of this app, and it fundamentally is probably a great app. Every time I opened it, I got hit with an ad. There were options to watch ads for in game rewards which is completely fine with me. I'm not ok watching an ad every time something finishes (at the beginning, about every 35 minutes). I will simply find another walking game instead.

Enjoying it so far, although it was a bit tricky figuring out how to get it to accurately measure my steps (I use a FitBit, which doesn't connect directly - I had to connect my FitBit to Google Fit and connect that to Health Connect, then I had to adjust the battery optimization settings for the Walkr app). The ads are a bit annoying, but I think that's fairly par for the course for a free game.

Counts steps, explore planets. The creativity is amazing, but not exactly what I was looking for. I'd say you get rewarded more for checking into the game multiple times each day, over how many steps it counted. I kinda wanted something that was more step driven. Make me get out there and get moving to move on in the game.
