I did really enjoy this game, it's fun to collect ponies and build a town. But after a few large public events it became super apparent that this game is largely a pay money for EVERYTHING kind of game. Yes you can get around 100 ponies for free if you're extremely patient with collecting items. But many MANY things are locked behind expensive pay walls. $20 to even $50 for some of the collections. I absolutely do not recommend the game.

I genuinely love this game. I played when I was a kid and I was thrilled to see it still running and even still being updated! Although I've seen two consistent issues. 1) It's very difficult to make progress without spending real money on in game currency. 2) The fuse decorations system is very helpful for unwanted decor but I can't fuse or sell certain things so now I have a large collection of wells, tri bushes, and canterlot pale trees that I can't sell either. Bought a pack but never received it. I tried contacting support but didn't get any response from them besides the first one, which was a bot. Furthermore, the game showers you with ads all the time, and the best way to play (and I'd even go as far as to say that the only way to play games for the first few levels) is to simply watch ads rather than to spend bits (aka gold). Finally, the game feels like just a grindfest overall, and it lacks many QoL features (collecting all coins at once). Edited

While it's fun to be able to collect some of your favorite characters from the show, the game overall is just one big cash grab. Unfortunately, you can only really unlock about 70 ish characters for free by painstakingly collecting items. All other characters you can only get for ridiculously large amounts of gems, which are rare to come by resource. This is also true of story missions, with many requiring you to spend gems in order to progress. Overall, I would not recommend this game.

Overall a fun little tycoon game; various ways to get money once you get enough buildings that produce currency and/or gems. Zero reason to have to spend money except for some special events that require certain characters; some events a being a bit unfair since they require some hard-to-get characters. Something else I find annoying is how when you combine tracks to make a bigger road, it has a dotted patch of grass in the middle that makes it seem disconnected, but that's just me nitpicking.
