What is wrong with this app? When I select a headline in my notifications, the article opens only maybe 50% of the time...it just sits on the opening screen, not loading anything. Likewise, if I just open the app to see current headlines, I have the same problem. I'm forced to close and reopen the app, losing the quick link to the article I was trying to view, or I occasionally have to force close it to get it to open. I've updated and uninstalled/reinstalled the app, but have the same issues.

Edit: Going to one star. So slow, hangs. And I I want to watch a video, I get an ad and then I do not get the story. Please do better for locals that count on you. Sometimes it is incredibly slow. There is a performance issue and often when I click on a push notification the all never loads, it just goes to the splash screen. And when this happens it isn't easy to find the article that was clicked on. Edited

Your weather function in this app is terrible. There is ZERO way you should be discontinuing the weather app. It works well and I check it daily. Unlike your weather function here which requires steps to navigate to, doesn't show in my notifications bar, doesn't contain nearly the same amount of information and is all around bad. Bad move 9news. Also, i have ZERO interest in seeing the news headlines when I'm just looking for weather. I'm look at news when I want to, but because you force me to

I love 9news, but your app is terrible. I recently was asked to review the app when opening. I couldn't do so as I needed some third-party account I had never heard of. So I am posting it here. Your app takes too long to load. I don't need a prolonged splash screen trying to get news. It is infuriating getting asked to stream to a device on loading. I use this app on the go. Half the time notification doesn't lead to the correct story. Clumsy and weird UI design.

Will play the video ads nicely but when the actual news clip starts to play the app says there was an error playing the video. Go figure....nothing buts ads. *UPDATE 10-28-19* They recently updated the app and managed to make it worse! The weather page is the worst. Silly little icons for everything and given no idea what any of them are about.
