This is a great alternative to physical letter tiles which always seem to get lost or dropped. I noticed that level 3 has the quizzing mode where the word is spoken and the child spells it and is told if word is correct. This is exactly what I was looking for. I wish it was the same for the lower levels, but those seem to only be practice mode, with no quizzing or correction. Is there a way to turn that feature on for the lower levels? It would be SO helpful when teaching multiple students!

Hello! We're so happy to hear you are enjoying the Letter Tiles App! Language Arts Levels K-2 are parent-led thus there is no independent review. We do appreciate the suggestion and would be happy to share it with our team!

Excellent curriculum resource! It works hand in hand with the curriculum and is a nice change of pace for little ones. Maybe my kids are worse than others about losing tiles, but I love the accessibility and ease of this option! We travel sometimes and take school with us. Having a resource that doesn't take up precious cargo room is wonderful! Edited

It's a beautifully simple letter tiles app. It really is very much like having a large set of letter tiles that you don't have to organize or find. This will be very useful for any homeschool family that wants to keep practicing spelling and phonics while traveling. Note- it is not a game you can just give to the child to practice spelling. It would be as structured an activity as giving them a set of physical tiles.

Can you please add a common word part that covers color names and days of the week? In level 3 it is a bit unclear when we were supposed to be working on the weekday names and now at the end of Unit 1 she is about to be tested on them. It would have been more helpful if it was a part in the spelling app so she could have added it to her list of daily practice. Thanks!

I just wish this app would give some type of signal when the child spells a real word. A bunch of letters on the bottom of the screen and expecting a child to make words without some general direction such as sounds when you hover over a letter or a prompt of which words to spell, is very daunting to a child. I understand that you don't want to give any negative feedback to the child if words are spelled incorrectly but there should be some gentle signal when the child spells a word correctly.

Thank you for your feedback, Sharon! This free app is intended to be used with the parent while completing Language Arts courses from The Good and the Beautiful, though it can be used for independent spelling practice. Our newly released Homeschool app includes Reading Booster Games that will inform a child when they are correct.
