Most straightforward "Scrabble"-type game available. I enjoy the 'random' board type that rearranges the bonus squares and allows for unique combinations. This really changes the way the game plays out. I appreciate that this app doesn't have a lot of unnecessary features and graphics. The features it does include are optional and add value. Some ads are annoying and hard to close but for a one-time $6 purchase they are removed. Seems like a reasonable way to support the app, so still 5-stars.

I settled down with one competitor and we've been playing for months, daily. One ends one starts. We are well matched and both get wins and losses. Funtown! 6/27/2025 The most recent update put the (name with turn score) and the (remaining tiles) at the top above the player names. It was better placed at the bottom of the board above the tiles. Please put it back. Edited

It's a little bit non-user-friendly, on the main page, and even more so: it doesn't give any inclination for whether a word will go through or not, unless one hits "play" first. Most other Scrabble apps give a "green" (or something like that), to make sure the word is valid at first (before trying to send it or anything). Still some fix-ups to be made, but hey: The main reason I'm interested in this, is the "Random" Premium Word Squares. That's different from the others, so it's more unique.

When swapping tiles, about 75% of the time, I get multiples of the same consonants or vowels worth one point! Whatever algorithm used yields this result! Not realistic! When I played in years previously, I would win frequently win, but not now! Too frustrating, even is skilled in this game! DON'T BOTHER! Find another game that's challenging, but fair! Edited

Ads progressively get longer after the first few days. Many of the ads are videos, so you'll notice that this app and similar ones use way more data than they should, considering something like scrabble only needs a few back and forth json transmissions. It's less childish looking compared to the other apps, so that's good. I'll continue looking for a competitor that isn't supremely annoying with ads.
