One of the best 1st grade learning games for kids. Everything is understandable and explained from the very foundation. There is no need to read the text, just listen to voice commands from the cute mouse. I recommend this excellent puzzle game for kids. Yes, it is paid, but there is no ads and nothing distractions. My son and I learn English and chess in this application with a cool voice coach :)

Perfect for 5 year old kids - it's very colourful, fully-voiced and explains concepts in a fun way, with plenty of spaced repetition so children aren't expected to pick things up the very first time. I'm surprised this app doesn't have any reviews as it's an excellent package made with a lot of love and care. The only downside I've noticed is that occasionally the screen becomes unresponsive, but in my experience the issue can be solved by pausing and unpausing. Overall highly recommended!

Great game for a four year old. Unfortunately, it does not sync progress across devices, so you can't use both your phone and your spouse's phone without the child playing through each level twice. Edited

Love it! My daughter slowly played over a couple years, now at 6.5 years old she is playing full scale games with me. Excellent and very fun app to teach kids to play chess

One of the levels (bishop inside the castle)is defective and you can't go on from there. Hints don't work either. There a ton of levels that feel drawn out with kindergarten lessons barely related to chess.
