I have used TurboTax for 6 years. Never had an issue, but now they no longer offer free service to military members and I was stuck in an infinite loop unable to digitally send my State Taxes despite nothing being wrong with the form that it demanded I correct. I have never had these issues, and moving forward, I will not be recommending TurboTax nor using it myself anymore. I don't know what happened but this was enough to make me done with TurboTax.

Turbo Tax is the biggest rip-off. You choose to use the free version and in the end, they tack on $ 79 for their tax service which I didn't choose, then another $40 for a "processing fee".I contacted them and filed for a refund, they just closed the case and completely ignored me. Horrible experience. They are very unethical. Stay away from this company.

I've used TurboTax for years, but this year I guess they were using some stupid AI garbage to do the bulk of the work. It didn't ask me a bunch of questions it used to ask (ie, "do you own a house?"), and I couldn't figure out how to enter that rather necessary information. Then it kept forcing me to buy into higher tiers for what -used to be- basic paperwork. I thought maybe it'd give me the missing questions in the expensive tiers, but NOPE! Will be going to real live accountants from now on.

it was ok back in 2019-2020 but every time after they make me pay more and more just to file my refund. from 90$, to $150, to a whopping $300 dollars which was basically half my refund. when I switched I only had to pay $100 to file state taxes which is insane that there was that big of a difference. I will never use TurboTax again. in response to the reply, if it was really about complexity and add on fees, then why did the same exact return cost me less to file when I switched? "free" 🙄 Edited

DO NOT USE. TurboTax is always shady. This app is even more. They keep it vague in a lot of areas, hoping you pay for their advisor service. It's super hard to navigate back, and lots of sections kept popping up over and over again. In the end, they had my state return showing I owe thousands, with no way to look at the actual return data entered. There's a reason it's free currently. It's a scam. Save yourself wasted hours and use a legit service.
