I loved this game and played it often, even bought one of the beginner packs a couple years ago to remove ads. However, after I had recently upgraded my phone, my save file got rolled back a few months, so I now have to redo several challenges and levels to get to the progress I was at before. In addition, I somehow have ads again, even though I already paid for a pack a couple of years ago. Fun game, but there can be a save file bug if you end up switching to a different phone.

Ads between stages, ads to continue, ads to get bonuses, sometimes ads on startup and they trick you into clicking on ads by making you think you are collecting a rewards and then you can't back out. To make it worse, these ads are crazy long, especially for a game that's built around you dying consistently. If you want to play a game where you are watching ads more than actually playing the game you should try this.

This game has fantastic gameplay and beautiful cosmetics. The compliments stop there. When it launched, I played 3-4 hours a day because it felt rewarding and fun. I stopped pretty quickly when they began to add predatory mechanics, FOMO "seasons", and more and more gacha. They also doubled the cost of legendary cosmetics in cards, which pretty much guarantees you'll have to buy them if you want them. One of the most fun parts of the old Rider was unlocking cosmetics. Don't fall in this time.

This used to be a decent game when it first launched. Everything was actually well balanced, and everything could be unlocked through sheer effort alone. Nowadays, there's a ton of ads between every playthrough, in addition to extremely predatory gacha mechanics to spend your money. They also increased the amount to upgrade cosmetics by a lot, essentially doing "Apple marketing" where they create a problem and have you buy the solution. It's unfortunate, but I can't recommend it anymore. Edited

WAY too many ads. I really, really like this game, but the number of ads is insane. Seems like every third time you die you're forced to watch another 30 second ad. I like the premise of the game enough that I'd consider buying the ad free version but it appears the only way to do so is to buy in-game currency which I'm not interested in. Just offer an ad-free version I can purchase directly in the play store and you'll have a customer. Also why can't I work on a level until I've completed it?
