Marvel Unlimited is so great. Makes it really easy to read everything, even on my phone. It can obviously be a little overwhelming and the recommendations aren't always the best but if you search for The Continuity Guide, it's an amazing way to start with the Marvel Universe or a great way to catch up, especially for someone like me who stopped in the late 90's before a lot of the big storylines happened. And as a huge fan of the MCU, it's great reading some of the stories it's based on.

The app keeps freezing when I try to sign up for a subscription, making the entire thing unusable. I have tried uninstalling, force stopping, logging out, etc... Now I have to choose to give up entirely (like I apparently did years ago), or spend the evening emailing with developers/CS people. I also am kind of astounded that you have to wait at least 30 days to read current books. Not sure if this is really worth it. Edited

I went to sign my grandson up so he could read the free comics and I could share some of my digital collection with him. They now absolutely require payment via subscription to use the app. I don't have that requirement, I assume because I was grandfathered in from the previous app. It is not worth $10 a month so he can occasionally read a comic. IMHO, the days of free are ending. The economy isn't good enough for needless spending like this. Just stay physical, it's cheaper.

it's a very difficult app to navigate. it has taking me a long time to figure out how to use it the way it's intended because it's not user friendly or intuitive. it also doesn't notify you when issues that you follow come out. there's only one button and it's just all notifications? you can't pick and choose specific ones. for instance, I don't need to know about promotional issues. but I would like to know when the new ultimate X-Men is available to read. seems like a no-brainer to me but... The app is fairly frustrating to use for someone be to comics, for the price there are a lot of quality of life improvements to be made. The most valuable would just be to allow adding a full character to your library. Also, adding the ability to select several comics at once when in the search to add to your library or to download. The button to open the menu to add to library or download is often difficult to hit and the overall experience of adding issues to your to read list is annoying.
