The volume keys can do more then just changing volume.

Loads more customization than any other volume key remapper. Unfortately, there seems to be no way to disable the app annoyingly forcing you to tap volume down 4 consecutive times to set the volume to zero (almost never works first-try, so it ends up taking at least 10 tals). This is a deal breaker for me. I hope an option is added in the future.

I wasn't even gonna get this app because I've used volume mapping apps in the past and I figured this would be just like the rest but two youtubers had recommended it so I went for it. Glad I did! This sets itself apart because it gives more options for example: up + up + up. I test out alot of apps and at this point I'm gonna say this stands to be the best volume key mapping app on the market. You definitely should give this a try. P.s. bonus points for having Tasker(app) integration. Cheers!

Works very well for my use case of launching tasker tasks Edit: recently I've found that this app was slowing down my device. Looking at logcat I could see thousands of messages about this app polling the volume presses, and when I uninstalled it suddenly my freezes and crashes went away. It did exactly what I wanted but at too high a cost. Edit: New version is definitely better but it still slows down my device (especially when I go to the sound and vibration section of settings) Edited

Please try the latest version. It uses a different volume key monitoring system which is more friendly to the device.

This 5* is for earlier version. In my Redmi 3C device i could not find tasker tasks, so I am still running older version. This app is awesome! I have setup a counter tasker task and mapped with volume button so that count works by volume button press even phone screen is off or any other app is running. Other functions also works, but I dont need. I only need counter with volume press even screen is off, and got it with combination of this app and tasker, nowhere else. Thanks for this feature.

I've used this app for a couple of years as a means of quick access to the torch (two presses of the volume up switch, the sort of functionality that should be built into Android OS) and it's been very useful on numerous occasions. Unfortunately, having to press the volume switch four times for min/max audio volume is now a deal-breaker and I'm swapping for an app that turns the torch on with a shake action.
