Love everything this has. Lots of customization, and even the lite version has endless braches, notes, and free forming. I bought the full(pro) version for the extra formats, topic & branch customization, and crosslinking. It could stand to be at least be a LITTLE cheaper, and if not already in there, there need to be options for more general format styling instead of having to style each branch & topic individually or changing everything to colors you don't want. Have used mind maps in business for many years. They were expensive desktop programs costing hundreds of dollars. SimpleMind is as full-featured, easier to use, and, well, is hundreds of dollars cheaper. Powerful and versatile, it can be used quickly and easily, or exploited for more advanced uses when desired, so learning curve is minimal. Most important, moving of items is very simple, essential for mind maps. Many are not as good. SimpleMind has now been an essential app for me for years.

I find it much harder to use than SimpleMind Lite--too much clutter/random useless features, and navigation has me more lost, I seem to have a harder time finding the map I'm looking for. I wish there was an option to retain all the same layout of SimpleMind Lite, and select which features you'd like to add. I only bought this to be able to download to PDF. Also, when you export from Lite to Pro, it lists all maps as the export date, making it impossible to sort by date, or remember dates.

Very well-designed mind map UX. File management UX is a bit confusing, but I did find a way to do what i wanted, which was storing a mind map in a folder synchronized to all my devices with Syncthing. To do this, I had to add an "external directory" as a "cloud," which is very counterintuitive. Then, only once add, I was able to edit the "external folder" and tell it which directory it pointed to. I love that the mind map can easily be switched to a black theme, and automatic layouts. Edited

So nice I bought it twice, I've tried other mind map programs and between functionality out pricing this would be the best bang for your buck. I bought the Android one a while ago and wanted the ability to work on my PC as well, found out you need to pay separately for each license, considering the value I got from this one I was happy to support the developers a bit more. It has built in templates, tons of options, the ability to save to the most used cloud services, just bring your ideas.
