ATR and Nitro fans will be very very happy! Great upgrade from the first game and it works with the Backbone controller which is good to see. Hopefully some achievements can be added or some challenges to work towards or something to add some extra longevity, but this is a great racer. Coming from an Amiga fan and someone who still plays ATR today. 😁👌🏽

Thank you! It’s actually quite similar’physics’ to ATR, so the cars should feel there drive similar. Just not isometric! Fun fact: ATR started out as a 2D viewed from above racer, very similar to Retro Racing!

superb old school racing from the guy that bought us 'All Terrain Racing and 'Nitro' back in the 16 bit days (amongst others). The first retro racing has been a constant on my phone for years and this more than lives up to the high bar already set. it's like having an Amiga or SNES all over again! superb.

Great game from a great developer. I loved Retro Racing on iOS and this is just as good. It does have some stuttering issues with variable frame rate screens but hopefully that will be patched soon.

Hi Michael, thank you for the review. Regarding stuttering, a few users mentioned it may relate to the device not being set to 60fps.

I loved RR1 and played it to death. This is exceptional :) Edit: previously experienced judder in-game because Android OS was flickering between 60/120fps. Forcing 60fps fixes it!! Tracks are great too, difficulty level perfect 👌 Edited

Hi Scott, thanks for the review! The juddering shouldn’t happen, first thing to try is if you can set your device to 60fps. Please let me know if that solves it, if not, please get in touch:
[email protected] EDIT: brilliant news about the 60fps. I do request 60fps, programmatically but maybe got something wrong.

The developer behind this game has been making top down racers for more than 30 years, and has it down to a fine art. Everything from the handling down to the progression systems and track design is SOLID.

Thanks for the review! At least 30 years! Probably started making games over 40 years ago. Just wish I was a bit quicker with them! :)
