In recent years, the game has become more pay to win or play long enough to have strong units. With more and more units being released, it becomes impossible to win maps. Basically, the game tells "screw you, pay us more, and you might beat this map with our jacked units with inflated skills and stats." Passive skills basically negate all damage to units and takes the game from hard but fun to BS hard. At this point, just don't play the game. Edited

I've played on and off since launch and it started off really fun. In recent days, though, the game has become much more complicated and powercreep is excessive. They've been long overdue in needing to address their summoning mechanics, especially with all of the heroes they keep adding. It's a gut punch to consistently miss out on the units that you're summoning for and for all of the units you currently possess to be outclassed by people whose only advantage is that they just outspend you.

The summoning rates are awful. There is the lowest chance of ever getting featured, or really any 5* units, no matter what those percentages say. This game has pretty much become Square Enix's Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. It's become pretty much impossible to keep up, because there's such a power imbalance between players. And, whenever you try to ask about something, anything, all you get are non-answers, the runaround, & basically told to screw off. Well, Nintendo can be the ones to screw off. Edited

Playing since 2018. It had been an overall fun experience until recently. This past year has just been too much for me with the powercreep. As a paying player, I still can't keep up in many game modes. It is POSSIBLE as a F2P, but it will require hours of your time. Many of the game modes have become grind fests. In addition, the fan service is out of this world. I can't enjoy the story anymore bc I skip every cutscene due to nasty characters. It's bittersweet, but it's time to let it go for me. Edited

I first reviewed this in 2019 after playing since launch, the game was really fun and it was great to have a mobile Fire Emblem game, one of my favorite series. The game has changed a LOT in 6 years and is pretty much swamped with P2W power creep skills (3+ paragraphs each). That said, it is still a fun game with great artwork and doesn't use too much of your time. If you are a new or returning player, absolutely do not bother trying too hard in PvP and you will have a much better experience. Edited
