I have been a fan of Towaga since the initial version. The gameplay has a good level of complexity while still mostly being a satisfying experience of clearing enemy waves. My main complaint is that the game seems very poorly optimized for mobile devices. Half the time the game crashes out on me, & my phone can handle play 3d puzzle escape room games with more ease & smooth gameplay. On all other merits I am a big fan of Towaga, but it should not be a struggle to process 2d graphics. Edited

Just a personal preference, but I HATE games like this. It's like the game devs hate logic and skill... and logic. Their version of a math problem is just "upgrade the numbers." If you like learning a game—then this is certainly for you. Straightforward logic is not the game's forte. Survival mode feels like a slog rather than enjoyable survival. The art style is beautiful, and the gameplay is smooth. The game itself just isn't for me. I don't have the patience for this. Edited

I loved the game initially, but there is something about the battle mechanic that doesn't sit right. Inexplicably changing from one mode to the next, no explanation of the things like yellow crystals, why? What are they for? Forcing you to keep your thumb in one spot to work the "thumb stick" not taking into account that thumbs aren't the same length- the game has such great music, and it is very pretty, but the combat is missing something, consistency is just lacking. The camera is way too floaty in the stages where you can move around in space. It's hard to tell where the enemies are because you have to be almost on them by the time the camera shifts to show them. Those stages would be so much more fun with a more dynamic camera, perhaps more zoomed out as well. Would change to five stars if this were fixed.

I would say this is a very good game. Simple to learn mechanics, good story, (can't say anything about the soundtrack cuz I spent the whe game playing ultrachurch in the background), And do NOT even get me started on the art style, it looks really good and personally feels like an eye massage due to how smooth and well done it is. And the game only gets better when you get to flying mode. That flying mode is really good and really simple. I love it.
