Manaorama is spoiling their reputation.. We need to spend more time on Advertisements than reading news. Until last app release, we were able skip the advertisement if not interested to see the same. Now, there is no way to skip the advertisement, you will need to patiently wait for the "close" button to come up. Really irritating. Cheap technique from Manorama to earn more money from advertisements. Uninstalling the app and won't install until this is fixed.

Yesterday I uninstalled it. I have been using it for years and recently it started popping up the animated ads with loud sound which was very annoying. I normally read the news during bed time when my wife sleeps and this pop ads were so annoying that I couldnt tolerate. I switched to other new application where there is no ads. App was all good till this time. Bye manorama. Edited

Ads with voice is a big nuisance when using the app in a quite environment where you are not expected to see an ad popping up with audio. Worst part is that it is on a timer and has no mute option. Not against ad on a free app. But keep it atleast muted and if the user wants to listen to it, the user can unmute rather than startling the user and people around the user. Since this issue my use of app has reduced significantly. Thinking about un installing and moving to a different app.

I have been using this app from more than 5 years and it became a useless junk now. As a reader, I'm looking for some news and not ads alone. Its so annoying now that this app just became a platform only to view useless ads. I could have installed some apps where you'll make money viewing ads in this case. Will wait for a week to decide whether I should throw this app into garbage. Very frustrated.

Post the update the notifications stopped and its been more than a month since i took it up with the MM team with all the logs. they are least bothered it seems, no proper response, simply saying to clear cache and restart the phone and all. nothing has changed. have been using this app since its inception, now its time to look for other options.
