It's simple. Calibration may take couple tries if you do it wrong. I guess calibration pictures in the app could benefit from written words what's up and down, front and back. One of the pictures can be a bit of a guess. After that? You put the data, ACCURATELY. Stop the car, have the phone secure at acceptable position. Which is easiest thing in the world to do. You get green light, you drive. And results shown are very accurate, I've tested it on plenty of cars. Great app.

Tried several times and just can't get it to complete a session. There's allot of good features, and it should be quite accurate, but with the calibration taking a good 4 or 5 tries to complete, and the barrage of steps you have to go through before you can start a logging run (most of which can and should be automated) When you finally get to test it. You get successive error messages, phone in bad position, or phone at wrong angle, or travels distance less than 18m I've tried several times in multiple positions, and watched all the tutorials, but it's just too temperamental. It could be so good, but with the gauge error messages you get, I don't know how it wants to be positioned or what's wrong. Of a good 6 or 7 times testing on the asphalt, I've had 0 success in even getting it complete 1 run. It could be good, but it is just too temperamental, and too long winded to use. Edited

Hi, calibration of the device sensors is a mandatory step to get reliable results, we can't do another way. But we understand that we must improve the calibration process. For the measurement process, all instructions are available in-app, it's very simple. Also we invite you to check our new dyno tutorial : https://youtu.be/WjLsbmhMo_A

Nope! After paying for the app and requesting customer support (twice which never materialized), I finally was able to download the app. I carefully followed calibration instructions, put in the gear ratios, vehicle weight including passengers, fuel level and "cargo", weather conditions, etc. Estimated 3rd and 4th gear Torque #'s were way off (much too high) for my stock BMW M240iX. Pushing to red line in higher gears should only be attempted on a closed course and there aren't any in my area. Edited

Hi, we do our best to reply to all customer support requests and we have no track of yours: no pending request from any BMW owner. It's not necessary to perform the test in higher gear than 4th gear. When torque is too high, this is often due to S-Tronic kick-down triggered. Please contact us at

This app is pretty cool. For the several 1 star ratings or all the ratings that say this app does not work and the calibration does not work, you simply aren't doing it right; user error, as the developer keeps saying. I did the calibration of my phone sensors once, put in all my car's parameters according to Autombile Catalog, and did one dyno test. That first test seemed pretty accurate. My car is rated for 265 HP stock and it read about 281 HP, which makes sense given the mods I have done.

Thank you so much for your great feedback Gabriel! We’re glad to hear the results matched your expectations. Following the procedure and setting the right parameters is really the key to getting accurate power readings. Keep it up!

Had high hope for this app. It is very detailed and the configuration for you car is very technical and specific which I like alot. After I went through the calibration and car set up I could not dyno my car even on a smooth road because my sport springs are to stiff and the app gives an error message because of this. I will not change my race suspension for this to work properly. I will request a refund. It is a good app for a Lincoln Town Car.

Hi Brian, PerfExpert is compatible with very race car stiff suspensions. From what you wrote, we would say that you tried to start the test while the car was still rolling. Before pressing the START button to initiate a test, you should make sure you stopped completely the car, please check the tutorial : https://youtu.be/WjLsbmhMo_A
