fun to play and worth the $5. game is an emulator (complete with 4:3 ratio and external menu) but the simplicity is appreciated. after playing through, I'd love if I could play multiple seasons with my team, play on different fields in regular season, expand team name options, add multiplayer, etc. but again, still fun. I will consider purchasing Soccer when it comes out and would be interested in any of the other sports/versions (such as later ones with pro teams/players).

Backyard Baseball brings the perfect blend of childhood nostalgia and genuinely great gameplay. It’s rare these days to find a mobile game that can entertain for hours without shoving ads in your face; but this one delivers. I just survived a 14-hour and 11-hour flight, and I played way too much... but loved every second. Would love to see even more Backyard Sports titles return 🙏🏼 bring them all back!

I can't believe I'm actually playing this in 2025. This is a fantastic port! Huge nostalgia rush playing this again. The only issue I noticed is a delay in swinging which gets really annoying when you think you are about to smack the perfect pitch only to get a strike because you swung late. I was able to compensate some and started getting some runs, but it did detract from the experience some. Kudos to the developers. I don't know how you did it, but great job.

A little clunky but the same classic. The point and click nature of the game means it plays no different it just feels a little less precise than with a keyboard and mouse. The only real issue I have with it is pitching. With no cursor I have no idea of what the swing spot for that pitch will be until I've already locked in the pitch. Maybe have the swing spot dead center in the strike zone to give a better idea of what we're working with when we choose a pitch would work great. Edited

Mostly great and the gameplay is good and exactly as I remember .Game crashes every once in a while and doesn't save which is frustrating. Some of the settings don't stay saved so you have to double check before each game. Also, you can't turn off the sound effects which is mildly annoying. I would like to see implementation of some of later backyard baseball games, such as picking your own home field for season play.
