Cultist Simulator is a trial-and-error styled game where you're not given any kind of a tutorial on how to play, but must rely entirely on experimentation in order to progress. This can lead to highly satisfying gameplay as you discover how things work, and start building strategies with the knowledge you gain from playing. But please note, this style of gameplay is not for everyone. Consider carefully if trial-and-error as the main game mechanic is your thing before purchasing.

This game takes a while to pick up, and does a phenomenal job at being at times intentionally: monotonous, exciting, suspenseful, hopeful or even stressful. decisions are always significant. the higher degree of difficulty grants feelings of reward rather well. the opaque storyline, the lore in descriptions and are alluring in all the best ways. I just wish it were also available in Spanish Edited

Heavy trial-and-error simulator. Be prepared to lose runs at any moment. It sometimes crashes, especially on devices with smaller RAM, but the auto-save feature usually saves progress regularly enough that data-loss isn't an issue. That being said, it's mostly a good game. complaints: Very monotonous at some points, bad luck can be a run-ender at any moment, runs can regularly take over 20 hours even despite permanent progress loss on death, so there's a lot to lose and nothing to stop it. It's a fun, if a bit esoteric, game where you manage time and resources while trying to figure out how the more mystical elements of the game work. It definitely takes time to play the game well and can be a bit stressful for a "pull up while you're bored" kind of experience, but lots of fun nonetheless.

I love this freaking game. But noticed two bugs, one of them makes me want to throw my phone against the wall. I had a run lasting days, twice now, in the end stages of the game, AFTER, saving, end for no reason. Upon opening the game, again, AFTER, saving, the game presents the title screen as if no save data exists. Completely gone. This is the second time now, and this time I was in the middle of an ascent with 6 marks. I can't even pick a new aspiration because the game just thinks I'm new
