I like the app in that the files are small and can be downloaded with intermittent cell signal as we are traveling along the Southeast US coast. The usage is not always intuitive so I practice everyday so I do not forget how to look at different areas and adjust parameters. However, this is a valuable tool and I highly recommend it.

I'm a new user, so not fully up to speed with Offshore, but it seems unstable on Android. Crashes regularly ( Samsung S9+, Android 10, and GRIBs downloaded over a Starlink connection.) Have tried all the usual workarounds...clear cache, clear data, restart phone, reinstall app, all to no avail. Strange, because the Predictwind app seems to work OK, but of course it requires a continuous Internet connection, whereas once the Offshore app has current GRIBs it can be reviewed offline.

App is packed with a lot of usefull things. Too bad they don t work for me. Most of the prediction files do not download, saying that my user and password are incorrect. The ones that get downloaded are not displayed on the map. The map zooms out to world view everytime i go to some menu. Used help. Doesn t seem i do sonething wrong or got the settings wrong. But problems still persist

I have used the Professional version of PW's software for the last two years and have found the weather routing and departure planning algorithms to be quite helpful when taking ocean currents into account (especially in the eastern Pacific). The underlying wind models are generally very helpful offshore. GRIB files are easy to download and use through IridiumGO email. I have also taken advantage of the tracking page and have received exceptional customer service when needed.

Clunky user interface. Sonetimes you hit phone back button, sometimes the app screen has a back button, sometimes the app has a done button to return to chart view. Chart detail poor for waterways, difficult to find you destination unless you use a separate chart plotter to get coordinates first then manually enter it. Very inconvenient.
