The free version is trash. It doesn't teach you basic tones or how to read. It starts with full on words and doesn't repeat them. It would be one thing to hear the same word a few times and given practice it. Hearing a word for ghee first time only once and being asked to replicate it without even knowing how to make the tone... This app is made for people who already have the basics. Also, the pronounciation tool gives you 30% even if you don't say anything - in other words it isn't reliable. Edited

Hello, the free version provides three free daily Hmong lessons each day. The app uses the interval recall method, using repetition to help you learn and internalize words and tones. There is a great deal of repetition (you wrote that it doesn't repeat words, which is not correct). The pronunciation analysis is reliable but only works if you speak.

App is good and resourceful, but I did come across an error in the verb vocab quiz for the word "Compare". In the quiz, the audio says "Nws tau sib piv" and the answer is "We compared", but the translation of the audio is actually "It compared" not "we". Please fix. Edited

Hi atlis bolt, all the recordings are done in studio by native Hmong speakers, so there shouldn't be a problem with their pronunciations (unless you are referring simply to regional accent differences). Please send us more details in any case so we can better understand what you are describing:

So far I love it. I'm half Hmong and I didn't grow up speaking more than baby words so this is nice to actually learn
