This is a very uniquely useful and approachable analog circuit simulator, with some flaws. Not being able to copy circuit patterns makes working any moderately complex circuit extremely slow. Placing wire nodes that cannot be moved is a hindrance. I thought that despite this, it was worth paying for the add-on package to support the development and gain access to the IC systems that would be most useful to me. After paying for the add-on package, however, none of it shows up.

This app has potential but it needs some work. It complains improperly about shorted capacitors (make a bridge rectifier, connect an LED, put one cap in parallel, it's fine.. put 2 in parallel, now there's a short? Nonsense, this setup is common), and the simulation time step you choose changes whether the circuit even works (certain values will blow LEDs). I do like the interface, but that doesn't matter much when the basic functionality of the app isn't right. Edited

Hello Zak. Capacitor has no internal resistance (ideal math model) and in some cases you need add small resistance between source and capacitor. Best Regards PROTO Team

What is the bias (in V) for a DC power source, please? Very useful simulator with some quirks. Adding a component drops it at the top left of the current view of the the circuit, so it may help to preposition that corner. Adding copper traces is tedious; to modify trace must delete/redo; can only connect to points on trace, not along a trace, no point running a long negative early as you cannot connect to it anyway. Contrast is too poor to distinguish traces with the light theme; Ocean is best Edited

Was useful enough I paid for the full gamut... However, I need a 2.81 nH inductor. I can't enter the ".81". I must truncate or round. I also tried "2811 pH" but they only allow up to three digit integers. I also have difficulty with "simulation speed" in that there's no indicator of how fast time is passing. If I need a half second or a five second delay on an action, I have no way to reliably verify that the outcome is timed correctly. Still, a good tool for learning and visualization.

It's really awesome to be able to prototype circuits without spending a fortune on parts. But there seems to be too many quirks to make it enjoyable. For instance a switch. You click it twice to select and open it. But no it jumps all over the place. You lock it so it doesn't move but can't open it now. Adding a new part can inject it into the circuit causing negative actions. You try to move the part and it messes everything up. You can't move wire junctions. You have to del all connections....
