(Edited) I waited so long and excitedly...for this? As a longtime AoE lover im so disappointed to see a carbon copy of every other no-name strategy game i got tired of after a few days and not like the classic AoE's that captivated me. Namely, it is hardly interactive with none of the in-battle commands like its predecessors had. So 2* for the superior graphics and historic characters but very disappointed. Uninstalling now, by the way. Edited

It's just a city builder. It has no age of empires game play. Your going to be building what the game wants you and your going to be assigned tasks that help you build to lvl 10 base. Then your going to get an onslaught of micro transaction prompts. If you don't spend money you will fall behind. You can pay and you will be able to compete. Otherwise it's a giant waist of time. Little bit of an update 7 mill power level is top player that over 1k money spent to compete. Edited

I was excited when I heard this game was coming out. I played the original games which were great for their time. My disappointment is because this is just Mobile Strike with a new skin. I put too much money into Mobile Strike and spent most of the time shielded up - there are always bigger players who spend more money and have more power. While the game is free to play it's not if you want to survive and prosper. Graphics are good, story is patchy, gameplay just smells like Mobile Strike.

Dear governor, Age of Empires Mobile incorporates many elements from Age of Empires and tries to recreate the classic gameplay. However, porting RTS game to mobile platform presents many challenges. It may not fully meet the expectations of players, but we hope to continue and innovate the Age of Empires IP. Thank you for your understanding.

this is an extremely robust installment of the franchise with the only real downside being that it's nothing like the original. it plays like any modern pay-to-play-try-to-be-everything mobile game. Lots of features that you'll understand if you played the original, or the Xbox port. The battlefield survivor minigame, however, is easily 10 out of 5 stars. I would buy a stand-alone battlefield survivor game out of pocket...Meanwhile, I only ever log in to see if they've re-added the minigame. Edited

I love the game so far, but am having a hard time keeping up, a lot of people seem to be putting in daily purchases and that makes it hard being in a #1 alliance war with other alliances i usually lose to many troops in. I honestly like the game, but if you don't have/want to invest 15$ or more a week to keep up with active players, then it's not the game for you. if you don't care about being weak in game than you can play easily without investment. Dear Governor, purchasing items is just one way to become more powerful in the game. You can also boost power by joining a powerful alliance, staying active, completing quests, or joining events to win rewards. We will continue to introduce interesting events. If you have any suggestions, feel free to contact us via in-game customer service.
