I really wanted to like this. The gameplay is great. But it keeps crashing. First time was when receiving event tickets for the first time. The little dude gives us event tickets and then the characters stare at each other until the game crashed. Then I reloaded. Got past it a little. Tried to spend event tickets to play an event song, got told "insufficient funds" and then the game crashed. Now it crashed again while trying to log back in. I'm not mad, just disappointed.

If you haven't tried it, it's probably the best rhythm game out there of its kind. Stunning graphics. Movie-like cutscenes. Gameplay is just as engaging and challenging (even more so) than the first game, as well as being more responsive. No obligation to pay and the things you purchase you get to keep. Not to mention with recent updates they have given more free perks to long time players. It shows they value the enjoyment of their players. Companies rarely do this and all I have is respect.

I would give it a 5 star if only i could access the store. It keeps saying unable to show product details which is a bummer. But so far the game is just amazing, animation is beautiful, music is gorgeous, i could spend hours just walking around, watching potato people and doing nothing. Edit: One of the little chart missions give the same chart. It's the one where you have to follow the arrow on the platform and the one from Pimi :/ Edited

So far, the only good thing is the music. I have hope that the story will be good to as the first game had one of the best stories of any game ive played. However, the structure of the game has changed and for the worse. Instead of just being able to play through the game, there are certain currencies that once run out (and they do quickly) you either just have to wait or make ingame purchases. I would have rather just paid the 20$ for the full game instead of having more awful in-game purchases

I truly loved the first deemo game. I played it on my phone for a while then bought the switch port which I absolutely love and is the ideal form of the game imo. I've played the first 5 songs you unlock, but to unlock more, I need to play some of them multiple times. The first felt a lot more balanced, unlocking songs quickly enough you didn't have to... farm progression on a handful of songs. I'd rather pay a premium for a fleshed out switch version than play this for free.
