The general gameplay is good, just like common turn-based-battle games with city capture and unit production. However, I'm disappointed that movement and attack range are calculated rigidly on straight horizontal and vertical (diagonal is counted as greater than 1 unit length). It messes up the initial plans. Sure I'll get used to it, but the overall maneuvers will always be unpleasant to see, e.g. adjacent 1-range units won't be able to attack if they're diagonal to each other. Edited

this is a must own mobile game. I can't express how underrated this is. I only heard about it from a random YouTube video and decided to try it. it took a minute to understand how it works but once I figured it out I couldn't put it down for like 8 hours. and I'm excited to play more of it. it's almost like if starcraft met into the breach. super strategic but it does a good job of easing you in.

If you like games like Advance Wars, Warbits is a must. ★Pros: +Scratches Advance Wars itch while still feeling unique. +Map editor +Local Vs allows for players & CPUs +a list of unique powers feel impactful but not OP. ★Minor cons: -Map editor UI doesn't deselect previous options when changing terrain, color, or units & lacks clear way to delete units. -Puzzles exit to skirmish menu. ★Wishlist: -Map editor had "Space" tile from campaign. -Map editor had or can unlock endgame's 'synth' tileset. It's like Advance Wars but with a cutesy art style. Plenty of unit variety and requires a lot of strategy. Enjoyable campaign to work through. Absolutely worth the price for fans of Advance Wars!!!

Very reminiscent of advanced wars. There is some simplification in the combat which I think makes it more approachable for newbies but that I don't mind as a veteran. They also added some variety in the cities that earn income which I think is a very neat mechanic and makes maps and capturing more interesting Edited
