Well, after using this for almost 10 years now, it's still my go-to app for learning a drum part. I set out my sheet music and create a loop for each bar or so of music. Then work up to speed the part. When the music is slowed down, it is crystal clear. There are other apps that isolate the drums or guitar or bass, but I found that only useful if I just want to play the part. It really doesn't help me practice like this does. 5 stars.

They made it much worse. It copies all played music onto internal storage. This also breaks internal file picker which now has no way to access the SD card since it starts with the directory of the last song it played. Still great for learning music, but there's gotta be a better way. A great app that I paid for and used for 10 years is spoiled. I want the old version please.

I have been using this app for years and it is great but because I have been using it so long, I have put a lot of time and work into defining song loops. Surprisingly there is absolutely no way to back up any of my work on ASD. The publisher is very responsive but either cannot offer a backup option or does not think it is important. At the suggestion of a harp teacher I am trying the Anytune Pro. So far it is even better than ASD and it provides regular backups. It is also only $5 not $50!

I've been trying to find ways to slow down guitar parts for years. This app is what I have always hope for. Now Eric Johnson licks are no longer...1/15/20: this app has lost some of it's amazingness the increase tempo by X% amount after X amount of loop(s) is buggy. It increases randomly. It doesn't matter how you set it. It will sit at one tempo for the value you set it to loop before increasing but then it will randomly loop 5,11, 7 times before increasing tempo, I would pay more for a fix

Stop now... Just BUY IT!! Daughter SERIOUSLY improved in 🎻 violin because of this!!! An older student in a one time group lesson happened to mention this app and we decided to check it out. The fact that it can slow down any audio file we give it WITHOUT changing the sound pitch/note was KEY. Looping sections that she's having a hard time with is also super amazing! First try at all-county auditions in her life at 11 and she scored a 100 on a level 3 piece! No doubt it was the app that helped!
