I have been thinking about getting this for quite a while sounded like it would be a good tool to compare against my electric bill. After using it for about 30 days it didn't identify anything in my house. It grouped everything into only two groups always on or other. Very disappointed that it was never able to identify appliances and devices running in my home. No way to help it learn by turning on one device at a time. I ended up returning it.

It started working very well a year ago when I bought the Sense device. However, after several updates, the performance and functionality have been degrading. Now it keeps saying the device is off line and the data updates are terrible, let alone that after over one year using it, it barely identified around 20% of the stuff I have at home. And to make things worse, from time to time changes them. It's a neat concept but still has a long way to go. Edited

Had a sense device for a year or so then upgraded to a new one with solar. Haven't been able to get it to work. Can't contact support. Sending it back. Disappointed Its been 2 years now with no resolution. Its seems sense device just wont seen my wifi. Been through router settings, firewall settings, rebooted mutliple times. It sees it during bluetoothscan but wont connect. TRime to go another direction. Wish I could get my money back. Very disappointed Edited

the app is really good and the device has been running without issue for 4 years in my home. however the detection technology is just not compatible with modern energy saving devices so most of the promised utility from Sense is monitoring overall usage. sure, it detected simple devices like the coffeemaker and air fryer but the HVAC, washer/dryer, induction oven, none of these high power devices ever got detected.

Update: Support was responsive and helpful. It took a little less than a day, and I was back up and running. I'm a little disappointed to have a gap in my data, hopefully it won't happen continuously. I've only had the monitor for a couple of weeks. Previous: What happened??? Worked great, now it simply doesn't work. It just has some screen that says push notifications. I've logged out, uninstalled, reinstalled, and logged back in a few times. Nothing will work. Edited
