TL;DR This is an excellent app, but I can NOT recommend paying for the subscription since the premium features are too flawed or just not worth the high price. Full Review: I finally decided to get the subscription to try full access to all the features. This app is very well designed and has great functionality. It has a good list of drink recipes that is growing all the time. My Bar is especially a great feature to get a list of recipes you can make with whatever ingredients you currently have on hand. Whoever designed the UX knows about good app design. BUT, I don't feel that the premium features are worth the high price of the subscription. The Shopping List is okay, BUT all you can do is Add All ingredients from a recipe. If you already own most ingredients in a recipe and just need to add one or two to your list, you can't do that. It assumes you are only going to be buying ALL ingredients from an individual recipe. You also can't add items directly within the Shopping List, you can only Add All ingredients from a recipe. So this is mostly useless as a shopping list when you want to make a booze run because you can't add just what you need to the list. The Add Notes feature is very nice because you can make your own tasting notes about cocktails you like or if you want to tweak a recipe to your personal tastes, you can make a note to increase ingredient X or substitute ingredient Y or whatever. BUT once you have left a note, there is no indication on a recipe that a note has been made. So every time I open any drink recipe, I have to check the Notes to see if I made one last time regarding this recipe. Finally, NOTHING carries over if you have to uninstall/reinstall the app or if you have to factory reset your phone or if you get a new phone. ALL your ingredients in My Bar, your Favorites, your Ratings, your Notes, your Shopping List, EVERYTHING has to be recreated whenever you install the app on your new phone. You could spend a LOT of time customizing things to make this app useful for you only to have that effort wasted if you get a new phone every couple of years or do a factory reset. If I have a subscription, all my settings and customizations should carry over. At minimum, I should be able to backup/export/import my settings and customizations so I'm not starting from scratch with every fresh installation. Again, in conclusion, this is a really good app, but the premium features are NOT worth the cost of subscription. Edited

Never knew this app existed till now. The app UI is easy to navigate through and like the different categories. Only thing is you have ingredients missing such as Lemonade. It would be cool if there was a feature to add mixed drinks or submit a mixed drink that could be missing from the list such as Blue Lagoon. Overall, I like the app. I have options on what to buy at Bevmo or Total Wine. Edited

Ads are less intrusive and priced a lot more reasonably than when "premium" features went live. App is still 90% usable without paying for premium, although I'm signing up to support Steve and his important work keeping us lubricated. It would be cool if we could add our own recipes. Also, the Notes feature could be improved if there was a way to tell from the recipe page if you have taken a note, so you don't have to remember to check the note every time. Cheers! 🍸🍹 Edited

Amazing user interface. The most useful tool for me is "my bar" which allows you to keep your bar inventory up to date in the app and filter by drinks that you can make with what you have on hand. You can also search by alcohol you want to use which is helpful in finding new drinks to try. Best of all, the recipes are great and well balanced.

Not bad but limited until you play for premium. And that's $4.99 a month! Just use something else. Definitely a preditory developer with this payment model. I feel that the change in pricing model demonstrates value and makes premium something worth considering, especially at the yearly price.
