It's OK. Imagine a traditional JRPG, but cut down on cutscenes, character, and story, and turn most of the art assets into cards. Some might like it, but to me it's too empty. The story was serviceable and the characters were likeable to an extent, but there's just not enough there to keep me engaged. For the price tag it's understandable.

A solid turn-based RPG with good fundamentals, nice card art, and that Yoko Taro... charm? Movement can be a mite finnicky (a small problem in a game like this) and scrolling through items mid-battle is tricky to impossible (a far bigger problem, but only mattered for me on the last boss). The combat has a solid balance between depth and simplicity, and is surprisingly flashy for a game repped entirely by cards, and the story goes places. A dozen houts is a good length for a game like this. Edited

The game runs well enough but honestly the one glaring issue that I cannot overlook is that anytime I want to switch apps like to reply to a message the game completely restarts and I have to load back in to my game. So every time I want to respond to messages or check something on a different app I need to save my game and then go through all that loading time to get back in. If not for this I would easily give 5 stars for a solid port.

Excellent port of a terrific game by Yoko Taro! It surprisingly plays much better with touch control. The text, however, is too small for my liking. I can't play it on my 6.8" phone comfortably. The experience is much much better on my tablet. Also the mobile versions are far cheaper than the console ones. That alone makes it worth it. If there is anything I want to see, a text size option for us with poor eyesight (buddub tss!). And cloud game save function for better device flexibility.

A great port of a wonderful RPG from the mind of Yoko Taro and co. The story and gameplay are very engaging, with gorgeous illustration and narration that leaves just enough to the imagination. The port is pretty great, running well on a mid-range phone. Touch controls work exactly as needed. My only gripe with the port is that it locks rotation, but that's a nitpick really. Probably the best way to play this absolute gem. There's also a Chapter 0 demo that runs the same if you want to test it. Edited
