It's rare to find ANY Cryptic Crossword Puzzle app. This one has everything one would expect, except being able to use the default keyboard. Puzzles are challenging to very difficult as is expected for the genre. None have been mind-numbingly difficult. There is a slight British flavo(u)r to these, but I have found no modern source for Cryptic Crosswords not written by British authors. Knowing this is important for solving some clues, but does not detract from the experience. 5 Stars!

Meh. A lot of the clues are not what I would call cryptic, i.e. "It keeps time in the garden." Answer? "sundial." That's just a regular crossword clue. They're also not very creative, & sometimes the same clue & answer would be repeated in the very next puzzle. Also there is no explanation for how they got to the answers, which stinks. Some I really struggled with & even after being shown the answer could not make sense of. Would not pay for this.

Very good app for those reasonably skilled at solving cryptic crosswords but not yet at the very expert level. Challenging but not frustrating. Also good for those who are beginners at solving this type of puzzle, and a good introduction to the genre for people who look at cryptic puzzle clues and are intrigued but baffled. It will help you make sense of it all.

Excellent fun, a very nice app for those who like to try solving the British-style cryptic crossword. I love how you can press 'Check' as you go along and it will tell you how many of your answers are correct or wrong, without revealing the answers. When you're truly stuck though, you can choose to 'Reveal' a letter, word, or the whole puzzle. I've only revealed a single letter so far, honest! Edited

Good cryptic crosswords app. Not too difficult or obscure. One thing to be wary of is accidentally typing over previously inputted letters...your typing skips over an already placed letter and carries over to the next blank box; this can cause letters to appear in odd places on the grid which you then have to delete... just a matter of getting used to the apps way of doing things. Well worth a look for cryptic crossword fans...thank you, developer.
