Really nice piece of software. Two points to improve: 1. Would really like to be able to manage in app payments from the app, tho. Currently you can not upgrade from pay monthly to pay once after you subscribed. 2. It would be cool if there was a "tumblr" layout for the feeds, where you can focus on the images (full size, not cropped) Other than that: really cool stuff.

This is the way. RSS, as a concept, is supposed to get the noise out of the way and let you focus on reading. SmartRSS understands the assignment. Beautifully simple and exceedingly well executed. It has the features without being in your face and the price is a steal. iOS has several very good RSS apps but Android hasn't been as lucky. Until now.

this is a good product! Love how it can take in various sources and summarise based on the folder collections of articles! you can link it to various AI LLMs APIs, and Gemini is just enough if you are looking at basic tier Overall it is clean and easy to use. Might just go for the premium as the full content feature is very useful! Edited

review updated as of Dec 31, 2025: One of the best RSS reader apps I've ever used. The ability to organize my feeds into different folders is really nice. The AI summary feature is also nice. They have addressed previous issues with the TTS not working. I did pay for premium because it is NOT a subscription, just a one-time $20. That's rare in 2025! Edited

EDIT: High price for this app but eventually the xml encoding bug I reported was fixed, after lengthy email exchange with developer, but relatively promptly. I would like to see more precise control over the fonts, colors, backgrounds. One of the features that I expected but despite elaborate options, the control is not complete. I believe, however, we're on a good track. Edited

Thank you for your support and feedback. I have found the root cause, but some non-UTF-8 feeds did not declare their encoding format. Furthermore, before UTF-8 became widespread, each language had different encoding formats. Therefore, I need some extra time for adaptation and testing. I believe I will fix soon
