This would get five stars except that it doesn't detect everything. I noticed that if I open the app switch on and switch off the Wi-Fi that I get a completely different list of APs. I use this one in combination with another one so that each one can verify the other. This one is far better than the other one because there are no ads and it seems to work better but it does not detect everything.

Thank you for using the application, we appreciate your feedback. This application is open source with many contributors. Android 9 introduced Wi-Fi scan throttling. For solution to this issue please visit "FAQ" section on our website https://vremsoftwaredevelopment.github.io/WiFiAnalyzer/#faq

Edit: someone on the development team sent a comment super fast. My problem is Androids fault, not the app. I also missed the experimental "disable WiFi scan throttling". That seems to have fixed it. Great app. Original review:Loved this app, but on my Motorola it no longer updates the AP list in any sort of reasonable time. I have to kill the app and reopen then sometimes it updates. I can leave a building with WiFi and 20 minutes later it still shows the access points that I'm no longer near. Edited

Even on Android 9, which has wifi throttling that can not be disabled, this app does an excellent job, provided you are a little patient. This app is a great public service, as good as or better than most of the for-profit stuff out there. Highly recommended as a way to figure out what wifi channels you should use/avoid, whether the "auto" setting on your router is being sensible in choosing wifi channels (often not), and troubleshooting interference issues.

The devs on this app do great work, unlike all the other trash apps out there with obnoxious and intrusive ads. No ads on this one, just analyzing 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz. Simple and efficient. Keep up the good work, devs. We appreciate you. You should be the ones at the very top of the list when people search for wifi analyzing apps, not all the other garbage apps.

Best replacement for the kewlsoft analyzer ever, please keep it nice and slick! EDIT: Changes to how 5ghz is sorted on the channel graph is hard on the eyes as it's all condensed instead of split up into the 3 band groups(low, dfs, high) need time to have an opinion on this
