I've used this app on quite a few occasions, particularly for visualizing moonrise over the foothills where I live. It has been very accurate for my needs. Very accurate timing when the moon starts to peek out over a specific hill...the VR viewfinder has been extremely valuable in visually depicting all the information i need to plan a shot. I don't know how I managed without this app for so long! Thank You!

This is the most comprehensive and most versatile photography planning mobile app I have found. The UI can be quite intimidating at first, but once figured out (with the help of the very informative and well-made video tutorials and user manuals prepared by the developer himself), you will come to appreciate why it was designed that way. Features such as “Sun/Moon Finder” and “Milky Way Seeker” simply have no rival among all photography planning apps. The VR view finder is amazing and works differently than the AR view found in other apps such as Sun Surveyor and PhotoPills. VR view allows you to visualize the composition with the focal length of your choice with great precision without having to be present at the planned location. The developer tried to fit many things on the screen and sometimes it can be challenging to access certain items on the screen with your finger, but since my device is a Galaxy Note 8, the S-Pen works very well with the app. The app is actively developed and you can expect very regular updates. First, the developer is very responsive and that is terrific. BUT...I have just discovered that the 29 plans that I have on my cellphone can't be easily transferred to a new tablet with the app installed. Enormously disappointed in this limitation, but I understand that a sync process is in the works. Until then, 5 stars reduced to 3.

Potentially a good app but their subscription system is a mess. You pay it works for a while and suddenly the app decides you don't have a subscription. You want to renew but it says you already have a subscription. You check your app store and subscription is until November, try to use the feature, the app says your subscription is until July. it's an endless loop Also finicky to navigate, so many info on the screen, to pinch and zoom on the map you need baby fingers 3D works only on big cities

100% my go to app for astrophotography planning. Best Features: VR mode - preview MW with terrain data. Takes the guess work out of remote scouting. Dark Sky mode great to have this in app and not have to look at another source for this information. There is another app out there that always seem to get recommended... I have it too and srsly ... get Planit Pro instead.
