The app has a solid concept and has potential. BUT it seems like it's been abandoned after it was bought by another company. Even though there's now a paywall, both the android and apple version have issues that haven't been addressed or fixed for months. Ex: the app randomly crashes, the speed up button doesn't work for past beans, the past beans for android are inconsistent with apple vers (if one shows 5, the other shows 1)the bean deletes or doesn't record if you pause while recording, etc. Edited

I love the idea of this app and the core functionality works fine, its easy to upload and listen to audio, but it still seems pretty rough in other areas. For example, the commenting feature -specifically trying to find comments people have left on your/others audios- is pretty bad, and also their contact form for sharing feedback doesn't actually work (it opens up an email but it doesn't actually populate the email in the "to" field so its useless.).

It's a fun idea, and good way to connect with friends online. My main gripe is the number of notifications. I ended up turning off all notifications in my system settings, since I couldn't find any way to manage notifications within the app. It would be nice if there were a middle ground between no notifications, and being notified every 5 minutes.

I really loved this app, but now they're charging a ridiculous amount if we want access to features like listening more than a couple days back and opening up a bean one day early. I think there are other more valuable features to charge for and not charging more than even Netflix does in a month. Needless to say, my friends and I are looking for another app or method to use, since all we are doing is essentially sending each other voice memos.

I am editing my original review because of the new Premium Subscription feature. I understand that the app has created premium so that they can keep supplying it for free, but the fact that they made previously free actions inaccessible without Premium instead of adding new features for only Premium members is a bit ridiculous in my opinion. It makes the app a lot more difficult to use and just honestly makes me feel like deleting it all together. Edited
