Just got a flooding notification here in Phoenix area. Because it rains so infrequently here, roads get a buildup of tire/oil that a little rain makes them very slick. People move here and make fun of how slow we drive in the rain until they slide into an intersection trying to stop hard. Not all danger is from deep water, so it's good to plan a little extra time to get to work. Be safe and enjoy the rare rainy day! Thanks for the app!!

I've had the FEMA app on my phone for years. I am very glad the service is available. I have chosen the option of receiving FEMA's alerts on my phone & I find it to be very reliable. I get alerts for my home location & also for a location that I frequently visit. It has been very accurate in it's information. My family and I have used it to time our travels, for example in winter when out-of-town travel takes place for winter holiday get-togethers. Edited

Update: issue was fixed the next time I checked the app. Maybe just a temporary bug, I don't know. This app is very good/useful. (My only complaint is that **the in-app articles should be available offline**, at least optionally). Old review: It worked great for a long time. Now, it doesn't let me add locations (nothing comes up when I enter a city or zipcode). I tried un/reinstalling, but now I can't get any local information. Will fix review if issue is fixed Edited

No tornado alert last night during active tornado watch. Used to work, but now no alerts, no notifications. Checked all settings like silent push notifications, battery optimization, do not disturb, etc. App says "no alerts for main location". Fortunately, weather radio alerted us. This morning, confined tornadoes touched down in my township. Lost trust in the app.

Have had this app for a couple years, but now as long as there is an active alert, they will repeat every 5-10 minutes, which gets quite annoying when you have 3 active alerts that are active for a 36 hour period, & no way to suspend notification of those alerts. It's all or nothing, either they repeat every 5 to 10 minutes, or you turn off notifications completely & recieve none. Very frustrating. There are other apps available & WITHOUT the insistent NAGGING of an active alert. UNINSTALLING!!! Edited

Hi Michael – The ‘alert overload’ you were experiencing was in part due to the winter weather system last week. That created some unique issues due to traffic volume. The repeated alerts were resolved on the 24th. Our apologies. In addition, the version of the App you had installed, 2.12.1, had some known bugs which newer versions have fixed.
